Who It's For
Ideal if you want a tidy refresh, a defined new shape or a low‑maintenance polish. Works for straight, wavy, curly and coily hair, all lengths and all genders. We tailor techniques to density, porosity and growth patterns, including cowlicks and curls. Bring reference photos if you like; we translate the look into something that suits your face, undertone and lifestyle.
Duration & Appointment Timing
The appointment is 60 minutes, including consultation, cleanse, cutting and finish. Very long or very dense hair, major restyles or detailed fringe work may require extra time. If that sounds like you, select an extended slot or tell us in notes so we can pace correctly. Please arrive a few minutes early and come with your usual parting to help mapping.
Aftercare & Maintenance
Protect with heat shield every time you style and use the recommended brush or diffuser setting for your texture. For fine hair, focus on light volumisers at the root and a quick cool shot to set. For curls, layer leave‑in and gel, then diffuse on low heat and break the cast once fully dry. Clarify as needed, then rotate moisture and protein masks to maintain balance. Rebook every 6 to 10 weeks depending on growth, shape and texture.

Must be my bad luck! So, on recommendation from both my sister's, I decided to get my hair cut from Merluza. I was booked in for a wash, cut, blow-dry and style with Rosie. On arrival, the vibe felt off, she didn't really have a smiley face which is fine, I don't expect everyone to be happy all the time or a clown face smile. She took my jacket and led me to the chair. She asked where I was from, I thought she meant area wise, she asked again only asking where my parents are from to which I then answered accordingly. Now usually I don't mind this question, but she hasn't asked me what I'm having done, offered me a drink, no vibe to make me feel comfortable enough to answer that question, I almost felt the tone was stern, as if I'm being told off. She then washed my hair AND face, the amount of water she got on my face was silly, my mascara was bleeding at one point. When it came to the cut, I showed her a video, not a picture because sometimes you can't see angles with pictures, simple enough, I've had the same cut and style many times before. Anyway, the cut was choppy, nothing like the picture and then she started on the blow-dry at which point I almost freaked out, where's the heat protection or any products? I asked her if she'd be using a heat protection spray to which she asked if I wanted it, well, yeah that's what I'm asking but surely you should know not to use heat in someone's hair with protection no? The blow-dry was silly, more frizzy than anything else and that's it. Done. I got to the receptionist to pay and explained how I felt the whole experience was awful and that I fely like crying. The receptionist said that her asking my ethnicity was her trying to make conversation and that they don't use products unless asked for it, so what's all the products for on the shelf, decorations? And the fact that the male hairstylist was doing a fantastic job with his client, chatting with her, offering her drinks, talking to her about her cut step by step, using correct products according to hair type meant this is common knowledge. The receptionist wasn't interested in anything after that other than for me to make a payment of a whopping £75. I paid and left, sat in my car, cried because I wasn't happy and then came to the realisation that no I shouldn't have paid for a service that I had experienced. My sister's had bragged about how good this place was but I had not experienced that so why should I give away my hard-earned money? I went back and demanded as refund and I won't lie, they were compliant and offered me cash as their card machine wasn't working. Polar opposite experience to what my sister's experienced, truly disappointed. 😢

Visited for the first time today. Zoe was incredible. What stands out is her attention to detail and how she takes her time. I love my new hair and have received a lot of compliments. Originally I felt it was quite flat and boring, but she has totally transformed it by subtly framing my face and adding these beautiful layers to create movement. She also gave excellent advice about caring for my hair and discussed the importance of nutrition. I look forward to booking with you again 💓🌸

Today the team totally stepped up to save my daughter’s prom preparations. Zoe and James did an excellent job styling her hair and wouldn’t let her leave until she was 100 percent happy. They truly went the extra mile. Perhaps the greatest hero of the day was Maria who drove across Birmingham to do make up for my daughter when we were let down last minute elsewhere. She was kind, calm and patient, producing excellent results to fit our brief of a natural look. Maria also did beautiful nails the previous day. The result was a very happy girl looking a million dollars on her special night. I can’t thank the manager enough. She made both us feel so much better in a stressful situation. Utterly professional.
